The Lesvos based Distillery of Giannatsi, wanting to utilize the goods of the Aegean island of Lesvos, proceeded to the production of castanelli liqueur, from chestnuts produced in the area of Agiasos, a small mountain village at the center of the island.
The chestnut kernel is baptized in ouzo from the village Plomari and the honey from our island is added last. Immediately after, they are distilled to produce the liqueurs.
After the distance it remains in stainless steel tanks, until it is bottled. Bright on the face, with an attractive color and intense aromatic profile.
